NEWS: Serbia-EKOZONA: Pilot Area AINATURE

The AINATURE project aims to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), Earth Observation, and geospatial technologies to support the protection of natural resources and enhance environmental monitoring across the ADRION region.

As part of the project, ECOZONA Ada Huja serves as the Serbian pilot partner, contributing local expertise and supporting the validation of innovative environmental monitoring services. The pilot area is located within the wider Belgrade river corridor, encompassing sections of the Danube and Sava river systems. This area is characterized by a unique mix of urban, industrial, agricultural, and natural environments.

Due to its strategic location and its exposure to challenges such as flooding, sediment transport, and water quality degradation, the pilot area provides an ideal setting for testing advanced environmental monitoring solutions. Through the integration of satellite data, AI-driven analytics, and local knowledge, the pilot will demonstrate how digital technologies can support more effective environmental management, risk assessment, and evidence-based decision-making.

The pilot activities will contribute to the development and validation of innovative services designed to support public authorities and environmental stakeholders in addressing complex environmental challenges.

Stakeholders, experts, and interested participants are warmly invited to engage in the pilot activities and contribute to the evaluation and improvement of these innovative services.
